    A strong high pressure ridge out west will keep the Southwestern growing regions clear and dry into next week. Pacific storm systems passing over this ridge to the north will bring intermittent strong winds (15-25mph gusting to 30+mph) to Southern California and the desert locals into next weekend. Potential freezes or frosts remain in the forecast each morning especially in the isolated interior valleys.

    High pressure dominates out west this week keeping the region dry and warm. Temperatures in the desert regions in the low 70s are expected this week with moderate lettuce ice in the coldest valleys. Temperatures begin to moderate over the weekend as a storm system moves down the California coast forming a cut-off low pressure system off Southern California.

    High pressure over the deserts will bring seasonably warm temperatures to these regions into mid week in front of the next approaching cold front later this week. Temperatures in the mid to upper 70s are expected into Wednesday with frost possible only in the coldest valleys. Temperatures begin to moderate Wednesday afternoon as a storm system from the Gulf of Alaska moves down the California coast.

These relatively dry cold fronts will continue to bring strong winds and freeze conditions to interior California and the desert regions this week. Freeze and frost warnings are active throughout the various regions of California and Arizona with numerous crops in the line of fire.

    The very cold, Arctic air mass continues to impact California and the Western Desert regions this week. These relatively dry systems will continue to bring strong winds and freeze conditions to interior Southern California and the desert regions once again early this week. Freeze and frost warnings are active throughout the various regions of California and Arizona with numerous crops in the line of fire. High temperatures in the 50s will be the norm these cold systems move through the region over the next few days.

    The very cold Arctic air mass will continue to impact the Western growing regions this week. Cold temperatures and strong winds (20-35 mph) will be norm early this week with highs only reaching the high 50s. Potential freeze or frosts remain in the forecast, especially in the isolated interior valleys, with the clear nights allowing for cold morning temperatures.

    A very cold arctic air mass will hang around the western growing regions into early next week moving south into Arizona and Northern Mexico. Freezing temperatures were reported once again in the desert regions this morning, however the coldest night of the week is expected overnight tonight and again on Monday. Widespread freezing temperatures are forecast into next week with daytime high temperatures only reaching the upper 40s to low 50s over the weekend.

This relatively dry system will bring strong winds and hard freeze conditions to interior Southern California and possibly the desert regions late this week. Freeze and frost warnings are active throughout the various regions of California and Arizona with numerous crops in the line of fire.

    Successive, very cold low pressure systems, originating from the Arctic will bring much colder weather and winds to California and the Western Desert growing regions today into early next week. Many crops will be in the line of fire as this long duration cold event moves in. Hard freeze conditions (28 degrees for 4 or more hours) are expected in the citrus growing regions of Central California, with freeze warnings in the coastal regions.

    High pressure continues out west today in front of the next very cold storm system expected mid-week. Temperatures will remain in the 70s in the desert regions into Tuesday. Forecasts indicate a very cold Arctic storm system likely bringing freezing temperatures to much of California and the desert regions the latter part of the week. This relatively dry system will bring strong winds and possibly hard freeze conditions to Southern California and the desert regions late this week. We will be closely watching this Arctic storm system as it moves into the west this week.
