    The second, in a series of wet storm systems will continue to move through California today bringing much needed precipitation to the West. Heavy rains and strong winds will impact the entire western growing region over the next couple of days. This is a welcome relief for the dry hills throughout the region but will do little to help with drought relief. Heavy rains last night in California will continue into Saturday as the system slowly moves east.

    Warm temperatures (low 80s) will continue this week in the western desert growing regions as approaching storm systems bring a drastic change over the weekend. A couple of storm systems will impact California beginning Wednesday into the weekend with significant rainfall expected throughout California and the desert regions with the second system on Friday.

    Warm temperatures will continue this week in the western desert growing regions. High pressure out west remains in place deflecting the storm track to the north once again into week. Desert area temperatures remain unseasonably warm in the low to upper 70s to low 80s this week with strong winds possible (20-40mph) as the storm systems pass by to the north.

    A number of Pacific storm systems rolled into mainly Northern California over the weekend with much needed rain and snow. These systems brought only light precipitation to Southern California with just a trace of rain in the Desert regions. High pressure rebuilds today deflecting the storm track to the north once again this week.

    A number of approaching Pacific storm systems are set to impact mainly Northern California into the weekend with much needed rain and snow. The first system is expected to bring light precipitation to Southern California with just a slight chance of rain to the Desert regions Friday before moving to the east. Desert area temperatures remain in the mid to upper 60s this week with strong winds likely (20-40mph) as these systems pass by to the north with light to moderate lettuce ice possible through the week.

    A couple of Pacific storm systems are set to roll into Northern California into this weekend with rains, strong winds and cool temperatures. The brunt of these systems will remain to the North however a strong wind event (20-35mph, gusts 40+mph) is expected to impact the Western Desert growing regions as these systems roll through.

    The exiting Pacific storm system which finally brought measurable rainfall to Central California will bring a slight chance of rain to Southern California and the Desert regions today before moving to the east. Another system late in the week brings a better chance of rain and strong winds to the region. Temperatures in the mid 60s this week as these systems pass by, with moderate to heavy lettuce ice possible through the week.
