    A Pacific storm system moving into California will bring rain in the Salinas Valley on Monday and Tuesday, with the heavier of the rains occurring on Monday. There is possible precipitation again on Friday as well. Expect showers and occasional thunderstorms to hit the growing regions of Southern California as well. Expected heavy winds will be also seen as this front moves thru California.

    The high pressure ridge out west keeps a mid-week storm system to the north of the Salinas Valley for the most part with a chance of rain late Tuesday into Wednesday. Temperatures remain mostly in the mid 60s to low 70s in Central and Southern California with temperatures in the western desert growing regions remaining in the 80s. Storm systems will remain to the north however strong winds (20-35mph) are forecast for the desert locales through the week.

    As crops throughout the west begin the transition to spring acreage warm daytime temperatures look to continue. This has been the pattern for much of the winter season. As the desert regions wind down seasonally quality remains generally fairly good. Broccoli and cauliflower supplies will remain on the light side for the near term due to lower yields and fields weeks ahead of harvest schedules.

Temperatures remain mostly in the mid 70s in Central and Southern California with temperatures in the western desert growing regions remaining in the 80s into the weekend.

Temperatures remain in the mid 70s to the low 80s in Central and Southern California with temperatures in the western desert growing regions warming from the upper 70s to upper 80s into the weekend. Storm systems will remain to the north however a strong Santa Ana wind (30-45mph) event is forecast for Southern California and the desert locales through Friday.

    The high pressure ridge out west weakens somewhat early this week as storm systems move into Northern California. Temperatures remain in the mid 70s to the low 80s in Southern California as temperatures in the western desert growing regions remain warm in the upper 70s to upper 80s into next week. Storm systems will remain to the north however a strong Santa Ana wind (30-45mph) event is forecast for Southern California and the desert locales mid-week.

    High pressure returns out west following the exiting storm system that brought the first significant rainfall of the season to the region. Significant precipitation was recorded throughout California with substantially less in the desert locals. Up to ½ inch was received in the northern Coachella region with less than 1/10 in most locations.
