    The first in a series of approaching cold fronts bring cooler temperatures (mid-50s to low 60s) to California and the Southwest Desert regions into early next week. These relatively dry systems will bring strong, gusty winds (25-45mph) and likely freezing morning temperatures to these regions, especially in the colder small valleys, over the weekend. The duration of these cold temperatures looks to remain below hard freeze thresholds at the moment but we will be watching ground temperatures closely this week.

    A series of cold fronts out west will bring much needed rain to most of California this week. The approaching storm systems have brought rain to the Yuma growing region today. It looks as if it will not amount to much to effect harvesting. Temperatures cool to the upper 60s as these systems roll through the desert regions.

    A strong cold front out west will bring much needed rain to most of California late this week (Thursday-Friday) with between 2-10 inches expected in the various regions. High pressure early this week in the Southwest Desert locals will keep the region warm, upper 70s to low 80s, into Thursday. The powerful approaching storm system looks to bring a chance of rain to the desert regions over the weekend. This system will bring very strong winds and substantial rainfall to California beginning on Thursday.

    A cold front out west will bring much needed rain to most of California beginning this week with between 2-4 inches expected in the various regions. As this system moves east dry and mild temperatures are expected into the weekend. This system will bring a slight cool down (mid 70s) mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers to the desert regions through the week. Out on the East Coast high pressure remains in charge keeping the Southeast region dry through the week.

This system will also bring strong winds as it rolls through mid week. As this system moves east dry and mild temperatures are expected Friday into the weekend. This system will bring a slight cool down, mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers to the desert regions this week. Out on the East Coast high pressure remains in charge keeping the Southeast region dry through the week.
